Oceanside is the third largest city in San Diego County. Along with Carlsbad and Vista it forms a tri-city area and is located just south of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. This beautiful city on the coast has 3.5 miles wide sandy beaches and a wonderful harbor with a historic wooden pier.
Oceanside is served by the Oceanside Unified School District, Vista Unified School District, Bonsall Union School District, Carlsbad Unified School District, Fallbrook Union High School or Fallbrook Union Elementary School District. The Oceanside Unified School District has 24 schools including two comprehensive High Schools and 3 charter schools. It also provide’s instrumental music programs for grade 4-12.
Oceanside is home to the worlds largest Women’s Surf Competition, the Supergirl Pro Jam event, and hosts The Beach Soccer Championships, an event that has a PRO side to it called The Beach Soccer USA Cup considered the toughest competition of its kind in the USA. There are lots of amazing dining, shopping, sporting, cultural and entertainment destinations to experience in Oceanside. There never seems a shortage of things to do! Each Thursday evening, downtown Oceanside hosts the Sunset Market, a gathering of local vendors, hot food and live entertainment.
